A state-of-the-art training center powering the future of the electrical trade in Santa Clara County.
This project involved the complete electrical buildout of the Electrical Training Alliance of Silicon Valley’s (ETASV) flagship training center in Milpitas, a 79,320 SF single-story tenant improvement designed to meet the growing demand for skilled electricians across Santa Clara County and beyond.
As the largest electrical apprenticeship program in Northern California, serving approximately 600 students, ETASV plays a vital role in preparing the next generation of electrical professionals. The new state-of-the-art facility enhances hands-on learning with dedicated labs for conduit bending, motor controls, HVAC systems, fire alarms, and safety procedures like confined space navigation and fall protection. Classrooms are equipped with advanced audiovisual systems to support interactive instruction.
Elcor’s scope included a new main switchboard (MSB), full electrical distribution, dynamic lighting and smart control systems, site lighting, power to rooftop AC units, a training vault, and infrastructure for four EV chargers. Energy-efficient LED lighting and sustainable electrical systems further align with the program’s commitment to green practices.
This high-impact project reflects Elcor’s dedication to powering educational environments that inspire innovation, foster workforce development, and support the future of the electrical trade.
