Ground-up build of a new 2-story recreational center for the City of Millbrae.
Delivered ahead of schedule during a global pandemic, this new two-story, all-electric Community Recreation Center is a highly sustainable, net-zero-ready facility built using an innovative structural hybrid of cross-laminated timber and steel. The inclusive, multi-generational space includes classrooms, daycare areas, a staff workroom, conference rooms, a fitness and wellness studio, game room/lounge, commercial kitchen, and a large community room designed to support cultural, educational, and recreational programming. The project also included new site lighting, EV chargers, and a PG&E transformer.
